Upcard Tablets for Dogs
UpCard® tablets are a veterinary prescription diuretic used in the management of congestive heart failure in dogs, helping to reduce fluid build-up (oedema and effusion) associated with cardiac disease. Containing the active ingredient torasemide, a potent loop diuretic, UpCard works by promoting the removal of excess fluid through increased urine production, relieving pressure on the heart and improving breathing and comfort.
UpCard offers a longer duration of action compared to traditional diuretics, allowing for once-daily dosing in many cases, which can help improve treatment compliance for both pets and owners. Its consistent and predictable effect makes it a valuable option for the ongoing management of heart failure.
The tablets are scored to allow flexible and accurate dosing tailored to each dog’s needs, under veterinary guidance. UpCard is typically used as part of a broader treatment plan, alongside other cardiac medications where appropriate.
